- Interdisciplinary collaboration with specialists to develop a library of elements based on architectural solutions and technical specifications from architects, manufacturers, and technologists, which will be produced at the factory;
- Develop each individual element for production with responsibility for its applicability;
- Participate in the development of algorithms for building design using these elements;
- Verify architectural solutions for compliance with safety norms, standards, and other reasonable criteria;
- Conduct structural analyses, including finite element analysis for wind and seismic loads;
- Participate in R&D and prototyping activities to develop new mass timber connection system;
- Participate in coordination and production of BIM models to document structural designs in collaboration with design and architect consultants and internal teams;
- Collaborate with manufacturing team and suppliers on DFM/A.
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Civil or Structural engineering;
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a construction designer, with experience as a designer in EU countries or relevant education obtained in Europe;
- Education and/or work experience in an English-speaking environment, with sufficient proficiency in English to be able to use it exclusively in the work process;
- Understanding of how to work with factories producing building elements, global practices, and trends in this segment. Direct experience in this field is not mandatory but is an advantage;
- Ability to navigate the norms, standards, and legislation of different countries, primarily the EU and, in particular, Germany;
- Ability and willingness to work in a team of specialists from different backgrounds, collaborate with external experts and developers;
- Experience or willingness to work with different materials, combine them, and easily substitute one with another;
- Willingness and ability to think innovatively, taking on non-trivial challenges and not relying solely on known solutions;
- Willingness and ability to seek help, consultations, or external services when unable to solve a problem independently;
- Experience with specialized software, especially Tekla Structures;
- Experience in design and analysis of hybrid buildings (timber plus concrete).
