We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant based in Switzerland to focus on ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting for our Swiss-based and potentially overseas entities (UK, Singapore, Offshore). This role is vital to managing financial reporting and ensuring adherence to Swiss accounting regulations, including Swiss GAAP and IFRS. You will be responsible for maintaining robust financial operations and supporting the company’s ongoing growth within Switzerland’s regulatory framework. Our team operates in a collaborative, flat structure, working together to build the gold standard in digital investment accounting and finance. You will work cross-functionally with other departments, such as Operations and our Trading Teams, to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. One day you may focus on Swiss regulatory compliance and financial reporting, while the next could involve balance sheet reconciliations or process improvements. Key Job Responsibilities: Month-End Close Processes: Execute month-end close procedures for Swiss-based entities, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP and IFRS, adhering to the specific financial regulations governing Swiss entities. Ensure Swiss-based revenue is correctly accounted for. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial data for Swiss-based companies, maintaining compliance with Swiss regulatory standards. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP and IFRS. Swiss Payroll and Taxation: Work to internalise the Swiss payroll function, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and social security requirements (e.g., AHV, Quellenset). Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of accounting experience within a complex organisation, preferably with Swiss-based companies or multinational firms. Strong understanding of financial statements and Swiss GAAP/IFRS. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and responsibilities effectively. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets. Familiarity with Swiss payroll systems and tax compliance requirements. Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams, particularly Operations and Trading, to ensure financial accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: CPA, CA, or equivalent designation (preferred). Experience working with cryptocurrency accounting (a strong plus but not essential). Working knowledge of Swiss regulatory standards and IFRS. Previous experience with Big 4 or large regional accounting firms. Experience with multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting.
