As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a Senior Paralegal / Compliance Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that our operations adhere to legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.

Job Overview

The Senior Paralegal / Compliance Specialist will support G-20 in maintaining its legal and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, particularly focusing on financial markets and cryptocurrency. This role will require a combination of legal expertise, compliance knowledge, and analytical skills to navigate complex regulations and ensure our business activities are aligned with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and Negotiation of Legal Documents: Assist the Legal Team with preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts and legal documents related to clients, vendors, and service providers, under the supervision of Management and the General Counsel or external advisors.
• Legal Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Coordinate with internal teams and internal or external counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while proactively identifying and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
• Regulatory and Policy Adherence: Under the coordination of the General Counsel or together with external stakeholders, facilitate alignment with local and international regulations, including financial, data protection, and cryptocurrency laws, while supporting the implementation and monitoring of internal policies.
• Documentation and Record Management: Maintain and organize legal and compliance documentation to ensure efficient filing, tracking, and retrieval in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Compliance Reporting and Liaison: Prepare compliance reports, liaise with regulatory authorities, and support internal audits and reviews to validate business practices against legal standards.
• Due Diligence and Onboarding Support: Assist the Compliance Team in conducting client due diligence, including KYC/AML reviews, and collaborate with internal teams to implement enhanced due diligence protocols where necessary.
• Training and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of compliance training materials and stay updated on evolving legal trends, particularly in financial markets and cryptocurrency, to support ongoing education and compliance efforts.

Requirements

• A Bachelor\’s degree in Law, Compliance, or a related field (Master\’s or relevant legal certification is a plus).
• At least 4 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, ideally within the financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Swiss and international financial regulations, particularly in relation to cryptocurrency, asset management, and trading.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide actionable legal advice.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal risk assessment.
• Proficiency with compliance monitoring tools and legal research platforms.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
