Project Engineer for Structural Engineering Design (m/f/d).
We are a medium-sized engineering firm operating throughout Germany, with over 200 employees currently working at 12 locations. Our company specializes in water management, infrastructure, geotechnical engineering, natural resources, geodata/GIS, and environmental planning.
To strengthen our team at our headquarters in Zwickau, we are currently seeking to fill the following position on a permanent, full-time or part-time basis, effective immediately:
Project Engineer for Structural Engineering Design (m/f/d).
Key responsibilities:
- Independent and self-directed preparation of design documents, in some cases as a project manager, as part of the design of civil engineering structures during HOAI service phases 1 through 5, as well as in a supporting or acting capacity during service phases 6 through 9 and on-site construction supervision,
- Project planning for civil engineering structures—bridges, retaining walls, and tunnels—as well as in specialized civil engineering (excavation shoring, special foundations, underpinning),
- Detailed design,
- Quantity and volume calculations.
We expect the following from the applicant:
- a completed degree in civil engineering or a comparable field, with a minimum degree of Dipl.-Ing., Dipl.-Ing. (FH), or M.Sc.,
- Enjoyment of challenging and complex design tasks in the fields of structural engineering and bridge construction, foundation engineering, and specialized civil engineering,
- handling various projects independently, taking personal responsibility, and meeting deadlines,
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience is a plus,
- Authorization to submit building plans is desirable,
- A solid foundation in mathematics, physics, and the natural sciences, as well as proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil, Revit, MicroStation, MS Office)
