I am supporting a major project management consultancy on a large-scale steel production plant in Southwest Germany. We are looking for an experienced bauleiter to oversee the construction of a new site build, managing the full scale of construction activities.
Location: Southwest Germany
Duration: 18 months / until mid-2028
Start Date: Within the next 6 weeks
Language: Fluent German, English bonus
Engagement: B2B Freelance / Contract
Rate: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- The full scope of construction activities - especially civil and mechanical
- Overseeing and managing of supervisors/site managers
- Monitoring quality, schedule and technical compliance.
- Managing interfaces between engineering, construction teams and subcontractors.
- EU passport and full rights to work as a freelancer in the EU.
- Fluent German, ideally good English but less important
- 8+ years' experience as a Bauleiter / Construction Manager.
- Large-scale industrial construction experience, such as power plants, water treatment, plant engineering or process facilities.
- Steel production / heavy industrial plant experience.
- Previous EPC or plant construction experience in Germany.
