Long-Term Opportunity (Freelance or Permanent)
We are supporting a leading project delivery consultancy on the search for an experienced Client-Side Project Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre programme in the Cologne region.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a large-scale campus development expected to exceed 200MW across multiple phases.
The Role
Acting as the client's representative, you will be responsible for overseeing construction delivery, managing key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of the project from a programme, schedule, quality and commercial perspective.
Working closely with contractors, consultants and specialist teams, you will be responsible for driving project performance while protecting the client's interests throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery on behalf of the end client
- Manage and coordinate General Contractors and subcontractors
- Monitor project programme, cost and quality performance
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure key project milestones are achieved
- Collaborate with HSE, QA/QC, Commissioning and OFCI teams
- Report project progress to senior stakeholders
- Drive successful project execution through all construction phases
Requirements
- Strong project management background within mission-critical construction
- Experience managing General Contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong understanding of project controls, contracts and construction delivery
- Ability to be site-based in the Cologne region
- Mission critical or pharmaceutical project experience
