Construction Foreman

Construction Supervisor – Northern Bavaria, Germany – Highly Competitive Salary Package – Major Tunneling Project – B2 German needed – ASAP Start

One of our best clients\‘ are currently looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor/Foreman to join their team, to assist with one of the largest tunneling projects in Europe.

Our client are one of the largest construction companies in the world and are well known internationally for their consistently excellent standards, particularly for civil engineering works. Our client have won the civil works for this project and they are determined to maintain this high standard.

They offer tailored training programmes for those looking for promotion, as well as a competitive salary and additional benefits. The role would involve managing a team of between 10-15 engineers on-site, helping to co-ordinate the civil works on-site for the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct activities: Manage the daily operations of a construction site from start to finish, ensuring the project work aligns with the plans and specifications.
• Manage Personnel: Ensure all on engineers within designated team conduct works effectively and to a high standard.
• Coordinate key project works: Work with a range of engineers & professionals onsite to ensure the project progresses according to the timeline.
• Materials & Logistics Coordination: Select, order and track the delivery of key tools, equipment and materials to the site (rock bolts, shocrete, etc.).
• Scheduling and Budget: Develop key elements of the project schedule, track the expenses and perform adjustments when needed to ensure the project remains on track.
• Ensure safety compliance: Enforce all safety regulations and create a safe work environment by conducting inspections, informing workers, and mitigating risks.

Qualifications

• Several years experience in civil engineering projects.
• Experience with groundworks, concrete works, trenching, digging etc.
• GW 330 – (pipelaying certificate) is desirable.
• B2 German is key – there will be some technical discussions with sub-contractors on-site, (French is desirable but not essential).
• Willingness to be on-site full time.
