Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

Contract Type: Freelance – Hybrid

Duration: 12 Months

Language: German and English

Rate: €85 – €110 per hour (depending on experience)

Project Context: You will support the execution of a green hydrogen project, ensuring compliance with German standards and project specifications. This role combines technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems with strong coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and implement E&I systems for green hydrogen production facilities.
• Ensure compliance with VDE and relevant safety standards.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, site teams, and instrumentation suppliers.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Maintain documentation and provide regular progress reports.

Requirements

• EU-registered freelancer with valid work rights in Germany.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in E&I engineering for renewable energy or hydrogen projects.
• Strong knowledge of German electrical standards (VDE).
• Fluent in German and English.
• Ability to work on-site as required (hybrid flexibility).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
