We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join a major Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt. Working for a leading MEP contractor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across all site activities.
This is a long-term opportunity offering 12 months of work with the potential for extension on one of Europe's fastest-growing data centre developments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce all site Health & Safety procedures.
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits.
- Carry out risk assessments and review method statements (RAMS).
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inductions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with German HSE legislation and project-specific safety requirements.
- Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors and project management teams regarding HSE matters.
- Track and maintain HSE documentation and records.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems and high-risk activities.
- Support emergency response planning and drills.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Health & Safety Officer on large-scale construction, industrial, pharmaceutical, power, infrastructure or data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practice.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively on a busy construction site.
- EU Passport or valid right to work in Germany.
Preferred
- Previous experience working for MEP contractors.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience working within live or mission-critical environments.
