Freelance 12 month initial contract We are seeking an experienced
Senior MEP Project Manager
to join a major hyperscale data centre development in
Vienna, Austria . This is an excellent opportunity to play a key leadership role on one of Europe's most significant mission-critical projects, working on behalf of a globally recognised Project Management Consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the delivery of complex MEP packages from construction through commissioning, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, programme performance and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of all MEP works on a large-scale hyperscale data centre project. Manage MEP contractors, subcontractors and specialist vendors throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor progress against programme milestones and proactively mitigate delivery risks. Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing and commissioning activities. Coordinate with client representatives, design teams, construction managers and commissioning teams. Chair technical and progress meetings, producing clear reports and action plans. Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations and health & safety requirements. Support project controls, change management and commercial reporting processes. Requirements
Proven experience as a
Senior MEP Project Manager
on large-scale data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical or highly technical construction projects. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within critical environments. Previous hyperscale data centre experience is highly desirable. Experience working for a PMC, EPCM, consultancy or client-side organisation. Track record of managing contractors through construction, testing and commissioning phases. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced international project environment. EU work eligibility needed.
