g2 Recruitment is supporting a specialist inspection and quality services provider in the search for an experienced NDT Inspector Level 2 (RT2) to support ongoing industrial projects across the Mannheim region.

Successful candidates will be deployed on major projects including pipeline works, BASF Ludwigshafen, and other industrial sites near Mannheim. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RT inspectors seeking immediate contract work, with the potential for long-term assignments and permanent opportunities also available.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections.
• Conduct film interpretation, evaluation, and reporting of radiographic inspections.
• Produce accurate inspection reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Comply with German radiation safety regulations and ADR requirements.
• Liaise with site management, quality teams, and client representatives.
• Support project delivery across pipeline, petrochemical, and power generation environments.
• Certified to Level 2 according to DIN EN ISO 9712.
• RT2 (Radiographic Testing Level 2) certification.
• MT2 (Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2) certification.
• Valid ADR Class 7 certification.
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in film interpretation and radiographic documentation.
• Proven hands-on experience carrying out RT inspections independently.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a small team on site.
• UT1 / UT2 certification.
• PT2 certification.
• VT2 certification.
• Previous experience within pipeline, power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience working on shutdowns, maintenance projects, or new-build industrial facilities.
• Additional NDT certifications and inspection methods.
• Primary location: Mannheim, Germany.
• Projects include BASF Ludwigshafen, pipeline projects, and other industrial sites in the Mannheim region.
• Accommodation can be provided where required.
• Initial 6-12 month contract with extension opportunities.
• Long-term freelance assignments available.
• Permanent opportunities may also be available for suitable candidates.
