We're supporting a leading renewable energy developer on a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project near Stuttgart and are looking for an experienced Freelance Grid Manager to take ownership of all grid-related activities throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all grid connection activities from detailed design through energisation
- Coordinate with TSOs, DSOs, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Manage grid compliance, connection agreements, and technical requirements
- Monitor project milestones, risks, and critical interfaces relating to grid delivery
- Support commissioning and ensure successful integration of the BESS asset into the network
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering grid connection packages on renewable energy, battery storage, transmission, distribution, or power generation projects
- Strong understanding of German grid codes and utility interfaces
- Experience managing external stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams
- Fluent English required, German highly advantageous
