Principal Systems Engineer – Automotive OEMWe are looking for a skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our Automotive OEM team in Munich (Garching).Your TasksManage product research and development initiatives, anticipating technological trends to drive innovation and roadmaps.Investigate emerging technologies and develop new designs or techniques that could be regarded as significant advances in the technical community.Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams in different stages of multiple customer programs.Drive system architecture and technical concepts based on internal and external requirements.Offer direction and influence to engineering management for long-range product development objectives.Determine options and facilitate decision making on technical challenges.Uncover and resolve problems associated with the development and implementation of existing products and programs.Effectively represent Garmin in external meetings with customers and suppliers.Your ProfileBachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Software Engineering or related field and multiple years of relevant experience.Demonstrated proficiency in research and development of leading-edge technology in the automotive industry, preferably in the infotainment domain.Excellent understanding of hardware and software development and capable of providing technical guidance for cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.Multiple years of experience in offering direction and influence to engineering management on different organizational levels.Very good understanding of industrialization processes and related factory collaborations.Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Unique blend of technical, business, and project skills that enables vision and ownership of a given technology or system.Demonstrated proficiency in the development of ADAS and automated driving systems.We OfferA varied, challenging field of work with responsibility in a cooperative working environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths.Free use of our products in your free time.Remote work and work from abroad regulations.An attractive JobRad lease.Participation in the share program.Net added value in the form of a benefit card.
