ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and understand reporting needs.
- Develop and design interactive and intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using industry-leading BI tools.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and cleansing to ensure accuracy and reliability of the information presented.
- Connect various data sources to be easily utilized within reporting & visualization environments.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization and business growth.
- Translate data insights into compelling visual stories that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with the latest trends in data visualization, design, and business intelligence to drive innovation in reporting practices.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ongoing administrative management of customer reporting and reporting services.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and extract insights from complex data sets.
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, data modeling, and statistical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights effectively to various stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for creating visually engaging and user-centric designs.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, and data querying for report creation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Design, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 or more years of experience within related position.
- Proven experience in data visualization, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
- Experience in coding or scripting (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Previous experience with ETL processes and data warehousing is advantageous.
- Experience with BigQuery, Postgres is a big plus.
- Portfolio showcasing previous data visualization and design work is highly desirable.
