Team Lead GCU Claim Handling & Strategic Procurement (m/f/d) To support our growing organization we are currently looking for a charismatic and negotiation‑strong leader who will take responsibility for Strategic Procurement in the freight wagon environment while professionally steering our GCU Claim Management.
Your main responsibilities:
Lead and further develop the Strategic Procurement function
Establish, negotiate, and conclude framework agreements with Railway Undertakings (RUs), logistics service providers, material suppliers, and refurbishment workshops
Functional and disciplinary leadership of the European GCU (General Contract of Use) Claim Handling Team
Full responsibility for claim management in line with the GCU, including escalation handling
Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies
Monitor KPIs, manage suppliers, and assess risks
Collaborate closely with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal

Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the freight wagon industry or logistics
Solid knowledge of the GCU is an advantage

Analytical, structured, and solution oriented mindset
Hands on attitude
Very good command of German and English
Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Spedition & Logistik Industry in occupation group C/I with a minimum salary of € 3.254,-- gross per month. Our salary package is based on current market salaries and starts at € 64.000 gross per year.
