MES Engineer (all levels)

Senior Engineer MES/Shop Floor – Manufacturing

Location: Hamburg, Germany

On-site : 4-5 days per week on-site

Language : minimum B2 level German + fluent English

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: 75-116k EUR total package

Our client is looking for an experienced MES/Shop Floor Engineer to support and develop production IT systems in international manufacturing environments.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize MES solutions for manufacturing environments
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and implement technical solutions
• Integrate IT and OT systems (e.g. PLCs, SCADA, IIoT devices)
• Support deployment, release management, and system architecture design
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and ensure solution quality
• Maintain documentation and actively share knowledge within the team

Your Profile:

• Degree in a technical field
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing IT, ideally in aerospace
• Hands-on experience with MES systems (e.g. SAP ME/MII, MOM), PLCs, SCADA, OPC
• Knowledge of SAP modules (PP, MM, SD, WM)
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to travel within Germany
