You will take a lead role in the design and construction of specialized tools and fixtures, ensuring high-quality, efficient manufacturing processes for our gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors. /p h3bJob Description /b /h3 pbWhat you’ll do /b /p ulliManage the design and construction of specialized tools, measuring equipment, and fixtures for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors /liliEnsurethe availability and on-time delivery of all required operating resources through internal manufacturing or external partners /liliDefine and optimizetool, measurement, and manufacturing concepts in close collaboration with production and engineering /liliDevelopmachining strategies, calculate cutting parameters, and maintain TDM (Tool Data Management) tool lists and related master data /liliCoordinateend-to-end procurement activities, including quotations, cost comparisons, and technical drawing reviews /liliMonitorprocess performance, tool consumption, and costs, initiating corrective actions and design improvements as needed /li /ul pbWhat you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) /b /p ulliCompleted technical education, ideally a degree from a Swiss Technikerschule(HF) in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering /liliSeveral years of practical experience in industrial manufacturing, production engineering, or tooling and fixture design /liliProven experience in designing operating resources for turbines or large-scale rotating equipment /liliSolid understanding of machining processes, tooling concepts, and measurement strategies /liliProficiency in SAP and, ideally, TDM or similar production-related systems /liliGood command of German and English, both written and spoken is a must /li /ul pbWhat will make you stand out /b /p ulliStrong technical understanding and a process-oriented mindset for fixture and tool design /liliAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external design offices /liliStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously /liliAnalytical thinking combined with cost-conscious decision-making /liliClear communication skills and a solution-driven, collaborative approach /liliHigh level of initiative, flexibility, and team spirit /li /ul pbWhat we offer /b /p pEmployees at GE Vernova rise to the challenge of helping to create a world that thrives.
