Job Description Summary The Industrialization Engineer – AI Lead supports the advancement of industrialization by combining Industrial Engineering, digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal is the sustainable improvement of processes, the digitalization of information and workflows, and the targeted use of AI technologies to increase efficiency, quality, and knowledge transfer.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
Planning, implementation, and continuous improvement
of assembly, production, and industrialization processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Identification and implementation of digitalization, automation, and AI potential
to optimize processes within production and adjacent business areas.
Introduction and further development of AI-supported applications
to assist with documentation, knowledge management, data analysis, and administrative processes.
Digitalization and standardization of inspection protocols, work instructions, technical documentation,
and production-relevant data to improve transparency, quality, and information availability.
Conceptualization, introduction, and optimization of operating resources, assembly and testing tools,
as well as providing support for the advancement of technical equipment and workstations.
Design and optimization of ergonomic workstations, material flows, and logistical supply systems
while considering Lean and efficiency principles.
Training and supporting employees
in new processes, digital tools, and AI applications, as well as fostering knowledge transfer within the organization.
Leading and executing improvement, digitalization, and AI projects
in close collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and IT.
Required Qualifications
Degree in technical education
Working proficiency in English
Understanding of AI concepts (Machine Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision) and their practical application in a production environment
Ability to design ergonomic and efficient workstations and complex material flow systems
Desired Characteristics
Change Management: Ability to act as a bridge between the "shop floor" and "IT/Strategy." You need to be a translator who explains technical AI benefits to non-technical staff.
Communication & Training: Excellent skills in teaching and coaching colleagues to use new tools; ability to foster a culture of digital curiosity
Languages: Fluency in German (for team coordination) and professional English (for technical research and global standards).
