As part of this mission, the Generator Value Stream – Senior Lean Manager will play a critical role in driving Lean transformation across our European generator manufacturing sites.
What you'll do:
Drive Lean Transformation Across European Sites
– Lead the deployment of Lean strategy across generator manufacturing facilities, aligned with GE Vernova's operational priorities and Global Supply Chain standards.
Lead High-Impact Kaizen Events
– Plan and execute Kaizen events focused on flow, lead time reduction, productivity, and defect elimination, delivering measurable, sustainable results.
Coach and Develop Lean Capability
– Partner with site leaders and cross-functional teams to build Lean capability, providing hands‑on coaching in Daily Management, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement practices.
Strengthen Daily Management Systems
– Deploy and mature Daily Management to drive accountability, standard work, and real‑time problem resolution at all levels of the organization.
Advance Built‑In Quality (BIQ)
– Lead BIQ deployment to embed defect prevention into processes through standardized work, error‑proofing, and process control.
Optimize Value Stream Performance
– Drive end‑to‑end value stream improvements, focusing on flow, waste elimination, and alignment with customer demand.
Replicate and Scale Best Practices
– Identify, standardize, and deploy best practices across European sites to accelerate Lean maturity and ensure consistency.
Foster Cross‑Site Collaboration
– Enable knowledge sharing and alignment across factories, strengthening a unified Lean culture across the European generator network.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 5+ years of experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
Significant experience in Lean Manufacturing within a complex industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
Proven track record leading Lean transformation initiatives across sites or value streams.
Deep Lean / TPS Expertise
Strong hands‑on experience implementing Toyota Production System principles, including:
Laminar flow
Jidoka (automation with a human touch)
Pull systems and Kanban
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Single‑piece flow
Advanced Lean Tools & Innovation Experience with practical Lean innovations such as Moonshine systems and Karakuri‑based automation solutions.
Kaizen Leadership Excellence Demonstrated ability to lead high‑impact Kaizen events delivering measurable improvements in operational performance.
Built‑In Quality Mindset Experience deploying defect prevention strategies and integrating quality into the process.
