- Position Overview
- HVDC Commissioning Manager (all genders)
- responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of large‑scale international HVDC projects.
Reports to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader and requires frequent international travel and on‑site presence at construction and platform sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor all testing and commissioning activities in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations.
- Build and develop the commissioning organization for assigned projects, preparing organizational charts, mobilization plans, and staffing requirements.
- Co‑ordinate with design office and project management for timely issuance of data (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists).
- Prepare commissioning schedules aligned with consortium partners for platform manufacturing.
- Develop commissioning documentation such as inspection and test plans (ITPs) and checklists, and establish completion management systems.
- Provide input to factory acceptance tests to ensure systems delivered to site meet required quality.
- Be the main point of contact for customers, contractors and internal stakeholders regarding commissioning scope.
- Collaborate with the project team on quality, claim and risk management.

Requirements
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in commissioning of substations, power plants or HVDC systems.
- Excellent communication and strong leadership skills in an international project environment.
- Fluency in English; German or other languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites; offshore platform assignments optional.
