What you will doDesign and develop specialized tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment for turbine and generator rotor manufacturingDefine and optimize machining strategies, tooling concepts, and measurement approaches in close collaboration with production and engineering teamsManage procurement activities end-to-end — from supplier quotes and cost comparisons to technical drawing reviewsEnsure the on-time availability of all required production resources, whether manufactured internally or sourced externallyMonitor tool performance, consumption, and costs, driving corrective actions and continuous design improvementsMaintain TDM (Tool Data Management) tool lists and related master data in SAPWhat you bringRequiredTechnical qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering — a Swiss Higher Technical School (Höhere Fachschule, HF) diploma or equivalent is idealProven experience in the design of production tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipmentSolid knowledge of machining processes, tooling concepts, and measurement strategiesProficiency in SAP and TDM or a comparable tool data management systemFluent German and good English, written and spokenPreferredExperience with tooling or fixture design for turbines, compressors, or other large rotating equipmentBackground in procurement coordination with technical suppliersWhat makes this role stand outYou will work on tooling that directly supports some of the most complex rotating equipment in the energy sector — built and maintained at GE Vernova's Birr site, one of the company's core turbine manufacturing locations in Europe.A formal education and subsequent Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. j4id10407878je j4it1041je j4iy26je
