Junior Sustainability Marketing Manager (f/m/d)

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sustainability Marketing Manager (f/m/d) to join us in Düsseldorf. The focus of this role is communication, ESG ratings and campaign development – with the goal of raising awareness of sustainability across GEA: internally among more than 18,000 employees and externally among customers and other stakeholders. Sustainability is an integral part of GEA’s corporate strategy. Become part of our Sustainability team at our Düsseldorf site and help implement our global sustainability strategy. Responsibilities / Tasks Managing and improving sustainability ratings: * Coordinate and support ESG rating activities (e.g., EcoVadis, CDP) * Analyze trends, requirements, and optimization opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders Communicating sustainability internally and externally: * Develop and implement communication and marketing campaigns in collaboration with departments or GEA divisions * Design impactful internal formats that make sustainability tangible for more than 18,000 employees worldwide * Write and manage content for the website and intranet * Collaborate with internal communication channels such as the intranet, internal news, town halls, and global programs (e.g., trainings, events) Further developing strategic communication: * Create value propositions aligned with regulatory and market-specific sustainability trends * Translate complex topics into audience-specific formats – visually, textually, and digitally Your Profile / Qualifications * University degree in marketing, communications, sustainability, business, or a related field * 2–3 years of relevant work experience and a strong interest in ESG topics, sustainability ratings, and (B2B) communication * Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style with process-driven thinking * Strong strategic and conceptual thinking with the ability to develop ideas both abstractly and concretely * Strong organizational skills, creativity, and a good sense for storytelling and audience needs * Project management skills and enthusiasm for working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English * Eagerness to work in a dynamic, international, and interdisciplinary environment What we offer: * Work in a supportive, appreciative, and international team * A modern work environment with flexible work options to ensure a healthy work-life balance * A wide range of personal and professional training and development opportunities to support your career * Company pension scheme and accident insurance * 30 vacation days per year plus December 24th & 31st off * Employee benefits such as discounts on gym memberships, language courses, etc. * Subsidized job bike scheme * Good public transport connections with travel allowance * One additional day off for volunteering * Global bonus program Did we spark your interest?
