Training as a Woodworking Mechanic (m/f/d)

If you would love to sing about wood all day long, then training to become a woodworking mechanic is made for you.

Your Training

• As a prospective woodworking mechanic, you will be trained in all the work that is important for a modern woodworking company.
• You will learn how to sort wood, operate high-tech machines, and plane. The in-depth training also includes regular visits to the technical college in Rosenheim, where you will attend block courses for several weeks a year.
• As a woodworking mechanic, you will operate saws, milling machines, and other woodworking machines and process the raw material wood into wooden components such as boards, sawn timber, planed goods, veneer, and chipboard.
• At GELO, you have the chance to be trained in three disciplines : sawmill, planing mill, and glued wood construction – in this way, you are not tied down as a woodworking mechanic from the start.
• A big plus for your training at GELO: Our employees are, on average, 31 years old – that means you get young trainers and a team on equal terms.

You Bring That With You

• Qualifying secondary school certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate
• Physical resilience and manual skills
• High sense of responsibility
• Good grades in the school subjects of mathematics, physics, and crafts/technology are desirable
