ph3Computer and Information Systems Administrator /h3 pThe position reports to the Team Lead IT Support and is part of the Genedata Corporate IT team in Basel, Switzerland. This is an on‑site position. The Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining, configuring, and supporting computer hardware and software systems, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient end‑user computing services and providing technical guidance and support to users across the organization. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide first‑ and second‑level technical support to end users via telephone, in person, and online support channels /li liIdentify appropriate hardware and software solutions to meet user requirements /li liInstall and configure computer hardware and peripheral devices, ensuring proper operation /li liInstall, configure, and maintain software packages such as operating systems, networking components, and standard office applications /li liAssist in the customization and adaptation of existing applications to meet user and business needs /li liCoordinate activities with network services and information systems teams to ensure seamless service delivery /li liProvide regular updates on issue status, progress, and completion to managers and/or users /li liDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner /li liEscalate major hardware issues to vendor support and coordinate resolution activities /li liConnect users to networks and provide initial training on systems, facilities, and applications /li liContinuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and identify synergies in hardware and software usage /li /ul h3Essential Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience /li liMinimum of two years of experience in system administration across Windows environments (Linux is a plus), including maintaining Windows Active Directory /li liStrong written and verbal English communication skills /li liExcellent organizational and time‑management abilities /li liSelf‑motivated with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team /li liProven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality /li /ul h3Physical / Environment Requirements /h3 ul liAbility to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 10 kg; additional physical requirements may include wiring an IT workspace /li /ul h3Preferred Experience /h3 ul liOutlook profile and mailbox management debugging /li liManaging and reviewing email objects such as distribution lists and shared mailboxes /li liBasic PowerShell scripting /li /ul pGenedata, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
