MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Configuration Analyst Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF). You will play a crucial role in providing overall configuration management infrastructure and environment to the USAREUR-AF G6 Joint Coalition Network Division.

  • The Configuration Manager (CM) has to ensure that the CM environment facilitates product review, change and defect tracking activities. This role includes writing the CM plan and reporting progress based on change requests, understanding configuration management principles, and preferably having experience or training in the use of CM tools. This role is responsible for the execution of the process which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle.
  • Provide IT service management, configuration management, and change control processes for enterprise IT services.
  • Collaborate with with USAREUR-AF G6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, NATO members and agencies and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.
  • Drive configuration management and change control processes that protect technical baselines and service continuity.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience.
  • Technical skills: Management of hardware and software configuration management across enterprise-level systems, leading Change Control Boards (CCBs), Agile development environments and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) methodologies.
  • Security clearance level: SECRET
  • Role requirements: Ability to pass German TESA: A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience; OR; An associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience; OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience; OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience. ITIL Foundation (required within 90 days of start date); Security+CE (required to start)

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
