Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Engineer

GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Cross Domain Solution (CDS) Engineer supporting our EMITS program in Grafenwoehr, Germany. EMITS provides Mission Command Support for U.S. Army Europe.

HOW A CDS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• The CDS Engineer will be responsible for deploying Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions.

• Identify potential conflicts with the implementation of CDS technologies within the enterprise and develop recommendations to remediate these conflicts.

• Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects; provide solutions to complex technical problems, deploy capabilities to enhance functionality and system performance/availability, and generate efficiencies in operational environment maintenance.

• Support Assessment and Authorization activities related to CDS technologies and provide Tier 3 maintenance support for deployed CDS technologies.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Security Clearance Required: Top Secret Security Clearance

• Education: Bachelor\’s degree

• Experience: 3 years of recent specialized experience, or an associate\’s degree plus 7 years of experience, or a major certification plus 7 years of experience, or 11 years of experience.

• Certifications: ITIL Foundation (required within 90 days of start), Security+CE (required to start). Additional certifications such as CISSP (IAT III or IAM III) are preferred.

• Technical Skills: Expertise with GOTS and COTS CDS technologies on the UCDSMO approved products list (Radiant Mercury preferred). Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as defense in depth, resilience, and security operations. Ability to translate cybersecurity requirements into system requirements. Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and coordinating resources to meet goals. Effective communication with senior management and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Additional Skills: Ability to multitask, work independently and in teams, share workloads, and adapt to shifting project priorities. Experience in security disciplines like Identity and Access Management, Cybersecurity Operations, Engineering, IT Security Audit, or Information Assurance. Participation in testing and evaluation of government or vendor systems, products, and services.

• Preferred Skills: Experience with Radiant Mercury CDS is preferred.
