Job Description:
GDIT has an exciting opportunity for an RMF specialist to support U.S. Army Europe and Africa as a member of our EMITS program Team.
The RMF specialist is responsible for assisting the USAREUR-AF G1 DOCPER System Owner and Information System Security Officer with securing and maintaining the system accreditation for the ECOPS system.
HOW CYBER SECURITY RMF SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Maintain ECOPS system record in Army eMASS
- Perform system categorization as needed and identify applicable IA Control Families, Control Correlation Identifiers (CCIs) and STIG checklists
- Conduct annual self-assessments
- Coordinate with system administrators, engineers, developers and key stakeholders to collect and upload relevant artifacts such as DISA STIGs, ACAS scans, System Security Plans, etc.
- Work with organizational Information System Security Managers to identify and apply policy inheritance where applicable to minimize applicable controls
- Develop and implement System Security Plan
- Schedule and perform new accreditation workflows for Assess Only or Assess and Authorize to renew system Authority to Operate
- Resolve conflicted controls
- Create and manage plan of action and milestone (POA&M)s for open findings and work with responsible people/organizations on plans to resolve
- Submit open findings with no resolution for risk acceptance
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
- Creates policy and procedures where none are provided to satisfy gaps in required system documentation and artifacts
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- May serve as a team or task lead
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
- Experience: 5+ years experience and Bachelors Degree
- Certification: Must possess a DoD 8570 Certification
- Skills: Experience with DoD RMF and eMASS; Knowledge of NIST 800-53 (rev 4/5), CNSSI 1253 and FIPS 199 preferred

Salary Range: The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 – $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
