The Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa (SWISSCO) and the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP) are two multi-stakeholder platforms which foster collaboration to increase sustainability for the key commodities cocoa and coffee for Switzerland and their respective value chains, together with private sector stakeholders, non-governmental organizations, and research institutes, supported by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The respective members of the platforms actively engage to improve the living conditions of smallholder farmers, to protect natural resources, and promote biodiversity in cocoa-producing countries. SWISSCO has been established in 2017, whereas SSCP was launched in 2024. As of January 2025, the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa (SWISSCO) and Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP) are looking for a motivated, open-minded, independent and flexible person to support our shared coordination office in Berne, Switzerland.Your Internship Responsibilities:Project Review Support: Support the selection process for projects in producer countries; review project documents and support on country- and commodity-specific information.Project Communications: Develop insightful and engaging content for SWISSCO and SSCP members, external stakeholders, as well as content for social media and website.Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL): Support monitoring of implementation progress; analyze relevant project data with a focus on social, environmental and economic impact; support the maintenance and further development of databases related to the MEL Framework.Secondary tasks include:Support in the development and maintenance of a CRM system across the two platforms.Support in the organization of member networking and knowledge-sharing events.What We Offer:Insights into projects at the interface of business and sustainability.Hands-on experience in platform management and stakeholder engagement.Practical skills in event coordination, communication, and project monitoring.Independent work in a motivated, interdisciplinary team.A professional sphere of activity with creative and development opportunities in the international work context.More Information:Location: Shared coordination office in Berne, Switzerland (with flexibility)Duration: 12 monthsHours: 80-100%Remuneration: Appropriate internship remunerationIf you are interested, please send a letter of motivation, your curriculum vitae and relevant certificates by e-mail to: For questions regarding content please contact Christian Robin at look forward to receiving your application!Deadline for application: Friday, 3 January, 2025Requirements:Strong interest and affinity for sustainability in global value chains and multi-stakeholder management.Recently completed (in the last 12 months) Master’s degree (ideally in related fields).Ideally fluent in German, English, and French.Strong communication skills, efficient and solution-oriented.Independent working style, strong organizational and analytical skills.Good handling of common office software.
