ppThe Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial, legal and tax regulations. This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and supporting the financial planning process. /p h3Key Activities / Accountabilities /h3 ul li1. Accounting Operations: ul liOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions. /li liImplement and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures. /li liEnsure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. /li liServe as a cross-functional liaison between Payroll and Accounting, with responsibility for overseeing payment run controls. /li liResponsible for reviewing and managing month-end, year-end bookings and closing processes. /li liOversee the preparation and review of VAT declarations, ensuring compliance and accuracy through regular controls. /li liInternal control maintenance and improvement /li /ul /li li2. Team Management: ul liLead, mentor, and develop the accounting and cash collection team. /li liFoster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. /li liConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback. /li /ul /li li3. Statutory compliance and Taxation: ul liServe as the main contact person in the context of audits. /li liEnsure compliance with all tax regulations and filings. /li liCoordinate with external auditors and tax advisors. /li liMaintain accurate and up-to-date tax records. /li /ul /li li4. Cash collection: ul liReviewing the Preparation of the Cash collection /li liHandle communication with customers /li liControl the Netting of the Cash collection /li /ul /li li5. Support and Reporting: ul liSupport the DACH cluster organization with Accounting figures for Switzerland /li /ul /li /ul h3Special Working Conditions /h3 ul liThe job position could be based in Basel or Zürich, Switzerland /li /ul h3Applicant's profile /h3 pPERSON PROFILE /p pEducational and / or Training Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills /p pREQUIREMENTS : /p ul liBachelor's degree or associate's degree in business, accounting, or finance /li liThree (3) years or more experience in related business financial service experience (collections, credit, customer service, billing or related field) /li liProfessional German and English verbal and written is a must.
