Responsibilities

A variety of tasks are waiting for you, amongst others:

  1. Developing a strong pipeline of prospective customers in the Defense Industry and maintaining customer relationships that correspond with customer needs.
  2. Creating a Defense Win Plan for Europe in line with our overall strategy and driving action and tactics plan to win new business short, mid and long-term.
  3. Generating quality sales leads for the global network in the area of Defense.
  4. Identifying and initiating new opportunities to meet customer/prospect needs as well as identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  5. Guiding national Business Development Managers working on Defense opportunities while building a strong and collaborative community in Europe.
  6. Steering major opportunities into our tender process while ensuring the correct hand-over of customer information.
  7. Developing value proposals in cooperation with our Operations and Business Solutions Department.
  8. Driving product development regarding the Defense Industry.

Applicant’s profile

You bring along:

  1. 5 -7 years of experience in Business Development in the sector of Defense Logistics.
  2. Strong functional leadership skills in an intercultural context.
  3. Experience in working in matrix organizations.
  4. A well-equipped Sales and Business Development toolbox: you have a strong business acumen, convincing attitude, outstanding negotiation skills and a proactive approach to the market.
  5. A passion for driving results and an agile way of thinking.
  6. Fluent in English, fluency in German is preferred.
  7. Willing to travel.
