The successful applicant will work in an interdisciplinary team of scientists and physicians.

Your role:

  • Optimize and compare advanced virus infection cell culture models of flaviviruses
  • Validating antiviral targets for DENV and other flaviviruses
  • Characterize cellular response against antiviral substances (proteome, immune signaling, etc) to mechanistically dissect virus-host interactions on a molecular and cell-biological level
  • Work with RNA viruses (e.g. Dengue, Zika) in a BSL-2 and BSL-3 environment
  • Collaborate with wet lab scientists and medical staff

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Infectiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field in the life sciences
  • Ideally background or specialization in virology
  • Experience working with cell culture models and molecular biology methods
