Product Engineer in München

About the Role

You'll be a Product Engineer for Kitaru, ZenML's new product that transforms agent traces into reliable evaluations. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and community—you'll ship features for agent builders while creating in public on X and GitHub, turning what you learn from the community directly into product decisions. You're a builder first, but you understand that invisible shipping is shipping that doesn't matter.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship product features on Kitaru (evals, replay, cohorts, DX) with strong taste and judgment about what's sharp versus theater.
• Create in public on X and GitHub, posting, demoing, and engaging with the AI engineering community to surface signal that feeds back into the product.
• Wear whatever hat the week demands—feature work, marketing motion, customer demos, or community engagement—whatever moves the needle.
• Stay close to your ICP of AI agent builders, eval practitioners, and people working with LangGraph, Claude Code, and custom runtimes.
• Close the loop between what you hear from the community and what you ship, ensuring no wall exists between build and distribution.

What We're Looking For

• Production experience building or evaluating agents in real systems.
• Open-source contributions that people actually use.
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, Python proficiency, and familiarity with evals and traces.
• Strong design and DX instincts—you know what makes docs, APIs, and demos click.
• Comfort with startup chaos and wearing multiple hats by necessity.
• Experience building or working deeply with tooling.
• Active presence in AI engineering communities (GitHub history, X engagement, or similar).
