For our client in Wädenswil, we are looking for a motivatedChemielaborant Synthese / Lab Technician Synthesis (small molecules)Our client drives drug discovery through cutting-edge science and advanced technologies to develop breakthrough therapies. Through computational approaches and state-of-the-art automated chemistry, their focused and results-driven work promotes innovative research in personalized cancer therapy— where next-generation research translates into tangible impact.As they expand their research and development activities in Wädenswil, they are looking for a Lab Technician to join their Medicinal Chemistry Lab. In this role, the successful candidate will support chemists in the small-molecule drug discovery process and contribute to the development of new anticancer agents. Working closely within an interdisciplinary team, the role involves the synthesis and characterization of new chemical structures and plays a key part in confirming and validating synthesized compounds, ensuring high-quality and reliable experimental results for ongoing medicinal chemistry research.Your tasksSelf-planning and accomplishment of objectives according to instructions given by the superior or other ChemistsDocument synthesis details and analytical results in the ELN on a daily basisDocument deviations from planned activities / results and propose alternative solutions using synthesis databasesOptimization of reaction conditions and purification processes stepsAnalysis and identification of reaction products by using appropriate analytical tools including HPLC, MS and NMRPurification of compounds by chromatographyCollaborate and share information with other technicians to improve working processesCollaborating closely and supportive as part of an international teamDemonstrate continuous improvement of lab workEnsure compliant disposal of chemical waste from working environmentEnsure working environment is safe, clean and compliant with EHS and chemical regulations at all timesReview appropriate safety documentation to ensure full understanding of operation and risks using chemicals to ensure maintenance of laboratory safetyYour qualificationsApprenticeship as a lab technician or equivalent qualification (No MSc or PhD)+ 3 years of professional experience in organic synthesisExperience performing analytical methods (NMR, HPLC, LCMS) and interpretation of resultsAble to work in a results driven environment, flexible to changing priorities and work within deadlinesGood communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
