For one of our industrial partners, we are looking for a
Machining Process Engineer
to lead the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and the development of new machining projects.

Expected responsibilities: Work closely with production teams to achieve continuous improvement objectives in terms of quality, productivity and operational performance. Analyse the performance and capabilities of existing equipment, then propose and implement solutions to optimise their use, enhance reliability and develop new processes. Lead continuous improvement projects for manufacturing processes, from identifying opportunities to establishing robust standards, using recognised methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC. Design, formalise and deploy work instructions in accordance with TWI standards, while supporting teams in their adoption. Collaborate with the Production, Quality, Methods, R&D and Sales departments to effectively meet customer requirements and project needs. Ensure the complete development of new machining processes, particularly for prototype projects and small high-value-added series. Program, optimise and validate CNC machines for machining technical materials, including sapphire, ensuring industrial feasibility, operation repeatability and the quality of produced parts. Define machining strategies, process parameters, tooling and manufacturing methods adapted to customers’ technical specifications. Conduct process development from initial trials to industrial validation and industrialisation. Manage process development projects end-to-end: needs analysis, feasibility studies, trials, validation and production launch. Act as technical referent on prototype projects and coordinate between various internal and external stakeholders. Develop innovative and pragmatic solutions meeting customers’ high technical requirements. Conduct and supervise feasibility and industrialisation studies for specific or customised products. Actively participate in resolving complex issues related to production, quality, process capabilities and manufacturing deviations.
Required qualifications: Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or recognised equivalent qualification. Basic technical training in machining. Minimum 5 years of experience Significant experience in managing industrial projects and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Strong skills in industrialisation and optimisation of machining processes. Lean, Six Sigma certification or equivalent training is a valued advantage. Natural leadership, ability to mobilise teams and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with a rigorous, structured and methodical approach. Initiative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to make proposals. Proficiency in English at upper-intermediate level (minimum B2).
