Role Purpose
As a Regional Brand Activation & Sales Executive, you will play a key role in growing Gill’s wholesale business in Germany and Austria while strengthening our presence and reputation in-store and on the water.
Working closely with our retail partners, you’ll drive sales, identify new business opportunities and ensure Gill is well represented through effective merchandising, product training and local brand activation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sales with an established international marine brand. We’re looking for an energetic, proactive and commercially minded individual with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for sailing and watersports. Previous sales experience is welcome, but attitude and potential are just as important.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with existing retail partners, growing sales and maximising account potential.
- Identify and win new retail partners and business opportunities across Germany and Austria, including Corporate opportunities.
- Manage seasonal orderbooks and the sales process, from initial enquiry through to order completion.
- Monitor sales performance and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
Brand & Retail Excellence
- Ensure Gill is well presented in-store through effective merchandising, stock positioning and product displays.
- Deliver product training and seasonal presentations to build retailer knowledge and confidence.
- Represent Gill at regional trade shows, sailing events, regattas and local brand activations.
- Build relationships within the sailing and watersports community, raising awareness and strengthening Gill’s reputation.
Brand Activation & Events
- Represent Gill at regional trade shows, club events, and sailing regattas
- Support local brand activations and promotional activity
- Build relationships within the sailing and watersports community
- Help raise awareness of Gill through on-the-ground engagement
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Support, Marketing and Product teams to support regional growth.
- Share customer feedback, market insights and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to sales forecasting, stock planning and performance reporting.
- Fluent German and good English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive and commercially minded, with the ambition to develop new business.
- Confident building relationships and presenting to customers.
- Well organised, reliable and able to manage your own time and territory.
- Professional, honest and customer-focused, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRM and other business systems.
- A genuine interest in sailing, boating or watersports.
- Experience in field based sales, retail, customer service or another customer-facing role. Candidates looking to start a career in sales are equally welcome.
- A background in outdoor, lifestyle or performance apparel.
