We\’re in search of a dynamic Senior Director of Regional Sales to spearhead the expansion and advancement of our DACH Enterprise Organization, both in cultivating new business and nurturing existing relationships. As a pivotal member of the EMEA Enterprise leadership team, you will play a crucial role in translating strategy into action and shaping the future of the EMEA Enterprise Sales team.
We are looking for a visionary leader with an innate drive for assembling high-performing teams and achieving unparalleled sales outcomes. In this role, you will take the reins of one of the fastest growing segments at GitHub to lead and scale a team of 7 account executives in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities
- Team Development: Develop and coach a high-performing team by hiring diverse talent and prioritising development and talent management. As Senior Director, you will lead by example, maintain high-level customer and partner relationships and build a network in the market to promote GitHub and attract talent.
- Business Development: Develop territory and team plans, assess market opportunity for GitHub Products and Services and align resources to over-achieve on business goals. You will be a thought leader for your market and represent GitHub at customer and partner meetings as well as small and large events. You will be responsible to hit aggressive sales targets.
- Risk Management: Identify risk and be decisive to ensure any risk is mitigated. Be a disciplined business manager, develop a culture of accountability and set up strong operational standards.
- Network building: Build a solid network at GitHub and within customer and prospect accounts to support the field. Work cross-functionally with technical product management, engineering, support, technical sales, professional services, channel and marketing teams to demonstrate the value of GitHub and, in turn, help our partners and GitHub sales.
- Understand GitHub products and solutions: Understand how we enable customers to be successful with our products and services to help them be innovation leaders. Teach customers about their industries and offer unique insights to encourage customers to think differently about their business and discover the true value of working with GitHub.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 11+ years experience in technology-related sales, technical selling, or a related field

- OR Bachelor\’s Degree in Business, Technology, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 9+ years experience in technology-related sales, technical selling, or a related field.
- OR Master\’s Degree in Business Administration AND 7+ years experience in technology-related sales, technical selling, or a related field.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Sales experience in Enterprise or Strategic Mid-Market segments.
- Several years of People leadership experience developing high-performing software sales teams as a 1st/2nd Level leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience working closely with channel partners to help build strategy and scalable Enterprise partner motions.
- Experience with consumption-based products.
- Ability to travel approximately up to 25% to support business and/or customer needs.
- Experience analysing market trends, and making data-driven decisions to drive sales growth.
- Experience with transitioning from a license based to consumption based business model.
- Experience creating strong relationships within channel partner communities such as Microsoft to help build strategy and scalable Enterprise co-sell and channel partner motions.
