Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect in GitLab's Central EMEA team, you act as a trusted advisor, translating customer needs into architectural guidance for GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You guide digital transformation journeys across planning, development, and operations, aligning technical evaluations with business value. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape solutions and advocate for customers, driving platform adoption and revenue growth. This role combines deep technical design with stakeholder influence in a fast-moving, AI-enabled environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to show how GitLab meets customers' needs across the full lifecycle.
• Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POV/POC ownership, workshop design, and components of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales to shape and execute account strategies for new acquisitions and expansion.
• Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders to enable GitLab adoption and advocacy.
• Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices, challenging existing approaches to improve ROI.
• Serve as the voice of the customer with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback and competitive insights.
• Maintain and extend expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies, creating reusable guidance and collateral.
• Invest in personal growth through learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to improve team impact.

Zentrale Anforderungen

• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles guiding solution design and evaluation.
• Proficiency in end-to-end SDLC and modern DevSecOps practices with CI/CD workflows.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms; ability to map platform capabilities to use cases.
• Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and deployment, security, and operations options.
• Ability to lead technical evaluations, contribute to tenders or audits, and design/run workshops or value stream assessments.
• Clear technical communication and presentation skills for practitioners to senior decision-makers.
• Skill in building trusted relationships, listening with empathy, and acting as a customer advocate to internal teams.
