Perfumery Lab Supervisor (m/f/d) Givaudan International SA
Location: 8310 Kemptthal (ZH)
Employment: Permanent, full time (100%), Immediate start.
Responsibilities
Coordinate perfumery laboratory activities in agreement with the research perfumer.
Manage the perfumery lab team (1‑2 team members) in their daily activities and development.
Lead the management of the stock of perfumery ingredients and in‑house prepared compounds with the support of the perfumery laboratory team.
Prepare fragrance mixtures, including solid calculation to determine ingredient ratios, and perform data analysis relevant to formulation development.
Incorporate raw fragrance ingredients in different applications for various internal evaluation stages in perfumery.
Set up and organize perfumery evaluation sessions.
Use and maintain multiple company database software and tools.
Perform any combination of sample management tasks, including labeling, preparing for shipping, transporting to labs, inventorying, and disposing.
Develop an understanding of perfumery raw materials (handling, stock management, olfactory profile) under the leadership of perfumers.
Qualifications
Education/apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory technician.
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a laboratory environment following EHS guidelines.
Practical experience in laboratory procedures and mastery of proportions.
Supervisor experience of a small team is beneficial.
Passion for detail and high‑quality standards in company products.
Sample management experience in the specialty or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
Desire to work in an organized manner towards deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoyment of teamwork.
Good working knowledge of German and English; French is a plus.
Proficient computer skills in MS Office and various web applications.
