Overview
As an Associate Perfume Analyst at Givaudan in Baierbrunn, you will provide analytical support to creation, development, and S&T units on a 1-year contract starting January 2027. You will run perfume analysis projects, adapt analytical approaches to meet business needs, and collaborate to translate data into actionable recommendations. You’ll conduct routine GC/MS checks, maintain instruments, and ensure a safe, compliant lab environment. Your knowledge of natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients will support reformulation and interpretation. This role offers exposure to global teams, advanced methodologies, and meaningful impact on product development.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Plan, prioritize and execute perfume analysis projects to meet deadlines and quality expectations
- Adapt analytical methods to balance response time and precision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals
- Perform daily instrument checks, calibrations, and routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with support teams for repairs
- Apply knowledge of fragrance raw materials to reformulation and interpretation
- Identify opportunities to improve methodologies and implement new approaches
- Maintain compliance with EHS guidelines and ensure a safe lab environment
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Minimum of 3 years of perfume analysis lab experience in a fragrance company using GC-MS-FID
- Experience with chemometric data interpretation for perfume formulation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Proficiency in common IT applications
- Excellent English (spoken and written); German is a plus
- Knowledge of GLP
