Overview In this role you help develop and scale biotechnological processes for fragrance ingredients. You will work at the interface of science, engineering and manufacturing to industrialize fermentation and biocatalysis technologies. Leistungen / Benefits Healthcare support Paid Time Off and family leave Retirement plan Sport and leisure clubs Company shop Staff restaurant Verantwortungsbereiche Conduct laboratory studies to develop and industrialize bioprocesses (fermentation, biocatalysis, downstream processing) Create, analyze and document experimental data to guide development decisions with the laboratory manager Serve as the biotechnology expert, sharing knowledge and training colleagues Identify and resolve technical challenges by partnering with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing/analytical teams Support pilot-scale trials and production implementation to ensure smooth transfer to industry Maintain daily laboratory readiness, inventory, equipment maintenance and a safe, compliant environment Contribute to technical investment projects including specifications, capability assessments and equipment selection Collaborate with Process Analytical Technologies and Engineering to improve understanding, optimization and scale-up Contribute to continuous improvement of lab capabilities, technologies and workflows with the lab manager Zentrale Anforderungen University/HES/Technical University degree in Biochemistry, Life Science Technology, Bioengineering or similar OR Laboratory technician (CFC in chemistry, biology or similar) with 5–10 years’ industrial bioprocess experience Excellent knowledge and practical experience in fermentation Knowledge in industrial fermentation technologies including DSP is beneficial Strong data analysis and interpretation skills Professionalism, dynamism, team spirit and cooperation Organizational and thoughtful approach Fluent in French or willing to learn, and good command of English team spirit cooperation proactive problem-solving fermentation biocatalysis downstream processing (DSP)
