As the Finance Business Partner Specialty & New Pipeline, you will lead a team of Finance Business Partner/s. You will be responsible for people development, preparation of succession plans and promotion of sharing best practices.

This role is the financial referral point for the Specialty Business Units in Germany creating the required interfaces with Global Therapy Area, Europe Finance and in country organization to deliver financial targets. As a member of LOC Finance Team and Specialty BU Leadership Team, the role provides support to Finance Director and Specialty Business Unit Head on how to optimize allocation of resources and manage BU P&L.

Your mission will be to be a strategic business partner to Specialty BU team having a strong voice to support them and to participate in the decision making. You will be instrumental to optimize financial resources, proactively identify opportunities, challenge the return on investment and manage the expenses of the Business Unit.

Success in the role requires the ability to interface with senior management, lead and drive change on appropriate level, lead people, challenge appropriately and have high degrees of technical and financial competencies.

You will report to Finance VP Germany.

  • Being part of Specialty leadership team and providing insight/support to Specialty Business Unit, incl. BU Head, Commercial Director Eosinophilic Diseases, Commercial Director Lupus, Commercial Director General Respiratory, Commercial Director Hepatology, Future Pipeline Launch Lead/s and Finance Director in the decision making process on pricing and resource allocation, carrying out business planning to determine long-run return on investments and supporting the business on a number of operational topics that underpin the above, to contribute ultimately to global business and finance strategy
  • Supporting Specialty Therapeutic Areas in local operating company, interacting with European headquarters and Global TA from Finance Partnering framework point of view
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the business and driving business performance forward in local operating company as well as interacting strongly with global TA and Functional teams
  • Ensuring that key stakeholders have full understanding of management and financial analysis reports and ultimately what actions the business needs to take as a result
  • Managing and supporting 2 Direct reports
  • Creating and applying appropriate and rigorous frameworks to cover quantitative, qualitative and risk parameters to facilitate challenging business decisions in constrained resource reality

Basic Qualifications
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Proven IFRS knowledge
  • Demonstrated strong Finance Partnering experience and ability to work in a complex environment
  • Experience in a commercial finance organization in international organization with global functions and shared services
  • Excellent ability to understand business problems and partner with finance and business leaders to develop and implement data-driven solutions
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Financial modelling & advanced analytics experience
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CFA, or similar) and/or MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects/people and influence stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong communication skills to influence others
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of German language
