Finance Director / European Industrial Company

From Melt Group, we are seeking a Corporate Finance Director on behalf of one of the largest manufacturing and industrial companies in the region. Responsibilities:

1. Represent the company in negotiations, manage investment portfolios, and evaluate M&A financial criteria to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency.
2. Forecast cash flow requirements across short, medium, and long-term horizons; evaluate investment opportunities; and manage credit and loan options.
3. Supervise treasury operations, including payments, cheque issuance, and promissory notes, ensuring secure handling of funds and financial instruments.
4. Support the Group CFO in preparing financing documentation, conducting investment analyses, managing bank debt, and developing financial strategies.
5. Lead the development and enforcement of departmental policies to improve performance, maximize profitability, and achieve strategic objectives.
6. Manage foreign currency transactions with financial institutions to hedge exchange rate risks and optimize account structures in line with corporate strategies.
7. Negotiate favorable banking agreements, ensuring adherence to legal standards and internal policies while enhancing financial returns.
8. Monitor balance sheets and profit & loss statements for accurate financial reporting and operational balance.
9. Track expenditures, investments, and budget variances to inform strategic decisions and implement corrective measures.
10. Oversee fixed asset inventories to reduce costs and increase revenue.
11. Promote and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics or Business Studies.
• Over 5 years of industrial experience.
• MBA is a plus.
• Big4 experience is a plus.
• Strong command of planning, communication, and organizational skills.
• Previous experience of over 7 years in a similar position.
• Negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Language skills: English and Italian essential, Spanish desirable.
• Advanced computer skills.
