Aufgaben What we are looking for: Role: COBOL/COBOLD Expert Location: Frankfurt, Rhine-Main Area Type: Full remote, candidates must be in Europe already Languages: German (B2); English (C2). We are looking for an experienced Profile COBOL professional to join our team, where you will provide project-related support in the host environment. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of our business-critical systems, and you will play a vital role in the overall success of our projects. You will work closely with diverse teams, including software developers, system architects, and project managers, to deliver high-quality outcomes in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities • Provide project-related support in the host environment, specifically with COBOL applications. • Collaborate with software development teams to analyze project requirements and deliver technical solutions. • Perform regular maintenance and updates on existing COBOL systems to ensure optimal performance. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to COBOL applications in a timely manner. • Participate in the design and implementation of new COBOL-based features and integrations. • Document all code changes and project-related activities for future reference and compliance purposes. • Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Qualifikation Several years of experience in host development (Cobol, OPC, JCL, JOGI) Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and creatively. Good communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Experience with debugging and troubleshooting COBOL applications. Familiarity with software development methodologies and project management processes. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
