pThe Data Analyst supports the Global Polio Eradication program by managing and analyzing polio-related data, producing reports, improving data quality, and providing technical support and training to regional and country offices. The role contributes to the achievement of polio eradication goals through data-driven insights and coordination with partners. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport Global Polio Eradication program by cleaning, verifying, entering and uploading AFP, Env, Lab, SIA and other datasets received from regional and country offices. /li liContribute to carrying out PSL's periodical data analysis and produce regular/standardized reports for outbreak and high-risk countries. /li liContribute to improving data quality by regularly running data quality and consistency checks. /li liContribute to POLIS development by regularly auditing the POLIS reports and output. /li liWork with Regional office and lab team to accurately track and analyze status polio virus type 2 lab results. /li liContribute to risk analysis for Event Briefing Meeting by producing relevant analysis on short notice. /li liCoordinate with global and regional partners, sharing insights and recommendations from data analysis to inform broader polio eradication strategies and policies. /li liProvide training and guidance to regional and country office staff on data entry, and analytical techniques to strengthen local data management capacities and data quality. /li liProvide other technical support as needed. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liFirst university degree in information management, geographic sciences or other related degree that involves data analytics, computing, science, statistics, mathematics, epidemiology or other science. /li liFormal training (certificate or course) in data management is desirable. /li liAt least 5 years' experience in health information systems, statistical analysis, and data management services. /li liExperience in managing and analyzing public health databases using computer-based applications including databases required by geographic information systems and mapping applications/systems. /li liExperience in data analysis of communicable diseases and/or vaccine-preventable diseases. /li liInternational exposure is required. /li liExperience in all aspects of the development of health information management and/or data analytics is desirable. /li liAbility to manage and analyze data. /li liDemonstrated hands‑on experience with Microsoft Access and Excel, the ESRI GIS/QGIS software, and EpiInfo. /li liProven knowledge of the optimum use of databases as an information/management tool. /li liProven expertise in database programming, data management, user interface design, browser-based and web application development with role‑based access control as well as report layout and design technologies and techniques, including experience in query design, stored procedures, and views and functions using T‑SQL within MS SQL-Server. /li liGood knowledge of Relational Databases Management principles, database design and normalization, development methodologies and use of SVN version control. /li liProven experience in using VBScript, VBA, R, HTML and/or T‑SQL to develop applications. /li liKnowledge of standard polio data analysis and reporting procedures. /li liExcellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to synthesize and present facts in a clear and logical manner. /li liAbility to produce results under pressure. /li liAbility to interact effectively in a multicultural environment. /li liExpert knowledge of English is essential. /li liIntermediate knowledge of French is desirable. /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liData Management /li liStatistical Analysis /li liHealth Information Systems /li liPublic Health Database Analysis /li liGeographic Information System /li liGIS Mapping /li liCommunicable Disease Data Analysis /li liVaccine-Preventable Disease Analysis /li liMS Access /li liMS Excel /li liESRI GIS /li liQGIS /li liEpiInfo /li liDatabase Programming /li liUser interface design /li liWeb Application Development /li liRole-Based Access Control /li liReport Layout Design /li liQuery Design /li liStored procedures /li liT-SQL /li liMS SQL-Server /li liRelational database management /li liDatabase Design /li liData Normalization /li liSVN Version Control /li liVBScript /li liVBA Programming /li liR Programming /li liHTML /li liPolio Data Analysis /li liData Reporting /li /ul h3Languages /h3 pEnglish, French /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
