Lead Anaplan Solution Architect / Model Builder in Zürich

About the Role

The Lead Integrated Planning Platform shapes the overarching architecture, performance, and continuous evolution of enterprise planning solutions across the business. Reporting to the Head of Technology, the role takes technical ownership of core backend and frontend environments, translating complex business processes into scalable, high-impact systems. Operating as both a strategic partner and solution architect, it drives end-to-end platform initiatives, strengthens system integrations, and empowers teams with robust financial and supply planning capabilities. The position sits within the Operations & Systems team, which brings efficiency to talent-related processes, fuels impactful decisions, and supports teams across On as they grow together.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and platform health of planning models as Anaplan Solution Architect / Model Builder, guiding backend and frontend enhancements alongside system integrations.
• Lead end-to-end Anaplan initiatives from initial requirements engineering through model building, rigorous testing, go-live support, and continuous refinement.
• Partner with key stakeholders across business functions to evaluate operational needs and co-create value-adding enterprise planning solutions.
• Communicate technical outcomes, platform architecture decisions, and strategic impacts clearly to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and maintain Anaplan models following established best practices, ensuring logical design, data integrity, and system robustness.
• Define, document, and control model architecture standards to ensure a sustainable, scalable planning environment.
• Guide cross-functional teams and facilitate end-user training to elevate technical skills, platform adoption, and planning capabilities across the organisation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience working with complex business processes, data structures, and enterprise planning systems.
• Demonstrated track record in Anaplan model building.
• Background or strong foundational knowledge in finance, supply chain, or a related operational field.
• Broad analytical mindset with a strong passion for solving complex business challenges using modern technology.
• Previous experience in consultancy or multi-stakeholder environments, with proven capability in managing priorities and expectations in a fast-paced setting.
• Results-driven motivation with a collaborative approach to solution design and implementation.
• Technical familiarity with relational databases and large datasets, complemented by exposure to BI and query tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SQL.

Preferred Skills

• Anaplan Model Builder or Solution Architect certifications are highly valued.
