The Spanish company GLOBAL WORKING launches a new recruiting selection process. Our customer is a market leader in its area in Germany with more than 10 million monthly visits and in-depth search functions on its webpage. The company provides the highest reach within its competitive environment in Germany. They need an experienced and creative professional to develop tools supporting the development and refinement of ontological resources for semantic search. The team is distributed across Brussels, Berlin, London, and Munich, so you will work in an international environment with experienced and open-minded colleagues.

We are currently looking to fill the following position in Munich:

Java Web Developer (m/f) in Munich

The role:

• Develop tools to improve semantic search processes.
• Analyze user needs and design new tools accordingly.
• Write scalable, maintainable, and clear code.
• Enhance company solutions through code modifications and improvements.
• Collaborate and share knowledge with team members and other teams.

The offer:

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of Java and experience in tool development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and processing large datasets.
• Linux system administration experience is a plus.
• Experience in computational linguistics is desirable.
• Proficiency with Git and scripting skills.
• Knowledge of SEO and search engine technologies such as Lucene and Solr.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Knowledge of German, French, or Dutch is a plus.
