Team Leader IT Support (m / f / d)

Responsibilities:

1. Provide accurate and continuously up-to-date information at any time on METRO’s global network plan at global, country, and single location level on current status, and asset transformation investment proposals, approvals and implementation (historic, currently pending and planned in the future)
2. Ensure build-to-suit of network transformation projects during design phase optimizing sizing and infrastructure in-line with capacity needs
3. Implement standard capacity calculation approach (ADT tool) across countries and projects and continuously improve and enrich simulation model based on implemented sites and real-life feedback
4. Review network nodes’ performance and capacity utilization after go-live, identify best practices and share with global network transformation community
5. Determine and track saturation levels of global multichannel network, anticipating potential bottlenecks and avoiding capacity constraints potentially limiting targeted FSD growth ambitions
6. Design and continuously enhance technological tools for network design as well as the associated elaboration of scenario analyses, capacity parametrization and operational process modeling (including eg. WMS systems, warehouse automation opportunities, etc.)
7. Support and safeguard the countries in the execution of the Network Transformation and ensure the training of the relevant key stakeholders in the country
8. Define and align KPI’s along the network evolution path to specifically trigger the right changes to the network at the right time considering Service Level, CAPEX and OPEX requirements
9. Ensure multilateral stakeholder management, as the implications of this role are broad so are the stakeholders that are involved

Qualifications:

1. University degree in supply chain management or economics or engineering
2. Broad understanding of FMCG wholesale business requirements and dynamics, specifically supply chain- and fulfillment operations while understanding of store operations can be beneficial
3. Solid experience in warehouse design, calculation and optimization. Relevant experience in a consultancy environment can be a plus
4. Experience as project manager or process manager will be an advantage
5. Reliable and responsible way of working in a multicultural setting
6. Strategic conceptual skills, able to manage complexity and strive for simplification
7. Analytical and problem-solving oriented thinking
8. Fluent in English (spoken and written); third language welcome
