At GMV you’ll join our high-rate team for space communications and security, working on cutting-edge projects in FPGA design, development, and architecture, System-on-Chip embedded development, hardware design, and full-cycle FPGA code implementation and validation.
We are expanding our teams in the space communications and security sector to take on innovative and high-impact projects.
WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team you will join projects for HW on-board security FPGA-based solutions, computer-vision acceleration, and very high-speed new space network protocol.
Your main tasks will be:
- Implementation of interfaces and protocols in FPGA, HW acceleration as co-processing avionics of satellites or spacecraft or some of their instruments onboard.
- SW/HW co-design, budget size and cost estimating.
- HW/SW implementation for space applications, documentation, verification/validation and certification of embedded hardware/software (mainly based on FPGA, SoC and FPGA + microprocessor).
- Defining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for operational or simulated space hardware/software systems.
- Technical support for VHDL implementations and assistance in selection of the more adequate FPGA and/or microprocessor platforms in line with the implementation targeting space applications (in most cases will refer to radiation tolerant devices).
- Tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for experts in embedded Software and Hardware Engineering with background and interest in FPGA/SoC.
If this position sounds like the perfect fit for you, here’s what we’re looking for:
- 3 years of relevant experience in this field.
- Experience in FPGA, VHDL implementation, Data-Plane Communications and security FPGA implementations.
- Basic knowledge of C/C++ coding.
- Knowledge and experience in Embedded Software and Hardware, SoC architectures, FPGA.
We will also value previous experience and knowledge in:
- Space Grade processor and FPGA Optical links.
- Development and implementation of FEC communication protocols, post-quantum cryptography solutions, and advanced modeling techniques for secure and high-performance systems.
- Space Systems.
