At GMV, we are expanding our teams in the Space sector to take on the development of next‑generation Ground Segment solutions for satellite constellations.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will lead and manage the development of Ground Segment solutions for next‑generation satellite constellations , coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects that combine software‑intensive systems, mission operations, cloud infrastructures, cybersecurity, and advanced data processing technologies.

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Lead the end‑to‑end development of Ground Segment projects, from system definition and architecture through implementation, integration, verification, and transition to operations.
  • Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams, customers, subcontractors, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project cost, schedule, quality, risks, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support and drive technical decision‑making, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and engineering solutions.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of critical Ground Segment capabilities, including Mission Control Systems, Flight Dynamics Systems, Mission Planning Systems, Ground Station Networks, Data Processing, and Mission Operations.
  • Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary and international teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure that Ground Segment solutions are scalable, resilient, and operationally ready to support next‑generation satellite constellation missions.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for professionals in Aerospace Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines, with background and interest in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in the space sector.

Required knowledge

  • Experience managing large‑scale projects, preferably with budgets exceeding €10M.
  • Knowledge and experience applying ECSS or related industry standards.
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and external partners.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple development teams across the organisation.

We will also value previous experience and knowledge in

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Experience working on defence projects.
  • Knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and systems engineering standards.
