We are looking for a developer who is comfortable across a full MERN stack and can own a feature from the API to the interface. You will work on custom web applications and dashboards, the kind of product where the data model matters as much as the screen.
What you will do
- Build and maintain React front ends against Node and Express APIs, with MongoDB or MySQL behind them.
- Design endpoints and data models, not just consume them: schema decisions are part of the job.
- Take features from a rough brief through implementation, review and release on a staging environment the client can open at any time.
- Write the tests that matter and keep the build honest.
- Work directly with the client on scope. There is no account manager in between.
What we look for
- Solid React: hooks, state that does not sprawl, and an eye for when a component is doing too much.
- Node and Express in production, including authentication, file handling and third-party integrations.
- Comfortable with Git, code review and reading someone else's code without rewriting it on sight.
- Enough English to run a client call.
Nice to have
- Next.js, TypeScript, or React Native.
- Experience with payment gateways or e-commerce APIs.
- A deployment story: Docker, CI, or managing your own VPS.
